Since 1991, the AquaDrop compound has been certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) making it an economical choice of commercial and municipal water treatment systems within the United States for producing low cost safe drinking water for millions of people every day.

Founded in 2008 by Sherm Harrington and Chris Martinez, AquaDrop Inc., is an all-volunteer organization located on Research Park Drive in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, whose mission it is to bring a low cost, highly effective, commercial potable water treatment to the humanitarian market allowing anyone, anywhere, anytime to economically treat their drinking water without need for any electrical power, equipment or dangerous chemicals.
